Mary was born about 1563 in Of Combermere, Cheshire, England. Mary's father was Richard COTTON, ESQUIRE and her mother was Mary MAINWARING. Her paternal grandparents were George COTTON and Mary ONLEY; her maternal grandparents were Arthur MAINWARING and Margaret MAINWARING.
