Isabel was born in 1137 in Surrey, England.1   Isabel's father was William De Warenne and her mother was Adelia De Talvas D'alencon.  Her paternal grandparents were William De Warenne and Isabelle -Elizabeth De Crepi De Vermandois; her maternal grandparents were William I Talvas Montgomery De Spencer and Alice Helie Countess Of Burgundy. She had a sister named Gundred.  She was the older of the two children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William, Philip and Patrick.  She died at the age of 62 on July 13th, 1199 in Lewes, Sussex, England.  She was buried in Chapter House, Lewes, Sussex, England.1 


Isabel's first family with Hamelin Plantagenet

‌Isabel and Hamelin were married in a religious ceremony in April 1164 in Anjou, France.1   They had a son and five daughters, named William, Isabella (Ida), Mary, Maud Plantegenet, Adela (Ela) and Suzanne.
