William de Vere

William was born about 1072. William's father was Alberic De Vere and his mother was Beatrix Castellan. His paternal grandparents were Alphonso De Vere and Katherine of Flanders; his maternal grandparents were Henry Castellan de Ghent and Sibylla Manasses. He had five brothers and a sister, named Alberic II, Geoffrey, Roger, Robert, Aubrey II and Roheise. He was the second youngest of the seven children.
