Beatrice was born about 1340 in Besford, Worcester, England. Beatrice's father was Sir Peter De Thornton and her mother was Lucia De Hellesby. Her paternal grandparents were Randolph De Thornton and Katherine Saint Pierre; her maternal grandparents were William de Hellesby and Alice Hawise Tursell. She had four sisters named Eleanor, Margaret, Elizabeth and Matilda. She was the youngest of the five children. She died in 1404.-
