Mary was born on May 16th, 1452 in Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland.  Mary's father was James II Stuart and her mother was Mary De Guelders.  Her paternal grandparents were James I Stuart and Joan De Beaufort; her maternal grandparents were Arnulf De Gueldres and Catherine. She had four brothers and a sister, named James III, Alexander, David, John and Margaret.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 36 in May 1488.


Mary's first family with Thomas Boyd

‌Mary and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on April 26th, 1467.


Mary's second family with James Hamilton

They had three sons and two daughters, named James, Patrick, Robert, Elizabeth and Mary.
