Engel Soorholz

Engel was born on February 3rd, 1806 in Flachsmeer, Ostfriesland, Germany.  Engel's father was Claas Reinders Soorholz and his mother was Foelke Berends.  His paternal grandparents were Reiner Classen Soorholz and Wobke Janssen. He had two brothers and a sister, named Engel, Berend and Mettje.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Reinder Claasson, Loert Claasson, Berte Claasson, Claas Classen, Wobke Claasson, Lauert Claasson and Wobke Claasson.  He died at the age of 51 on November 27th, 1857 in Ihren, Germany.
