Howard Krum Regal 
Howard Krum was born on April 30th, 1872 in Hopedale, Harrison Co., Ohio.1 Howard Krum's father was Edwin Ruthven Regal and his mother was Flora A. Krum. His paternal grandparents were John Regal and Lucinda Laughlin; his maternal grandparents were Abel Krum and Mary Brower. He had four brothers and a sister, named Wallace A., Jesse, Francis Ernest, Frederick A. and Mary L.. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 63 on January 22nd, 1936 in West Springfield, Hampden Co., Massachusetts. He was buried in Park Street Cemetery, West Springfield, Massachusetts.1 General Notes
He was a star sprinter, high jumper, baseball, & football player @@ Oberlin College.
He was managing editor of The Springfield Republican and one of the best-known newspaper figures in New England.
