Dafydd Ap Owain 
Dafydd Ap was born in 1136 in Gwynedd, North Wales. Dafydd Ap's father was Owain Fawr ap Gruffydd and his mother was Christin Verch Goronwy. His paternal grandparents were Gruffydd ap Cynan and Angharad Verch Owain; his maternal grandparents were Goronwy ap Owain and Genilles verch Hoedlyw. He had a brother and three sisters, named Ievan Ap, Margaret Verch, Gwenllian Verch and Angharad verch Owain. He had eight half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Iorwerth Drwyndwn ap, Owain ap, Dafydd ap, Maelgwn ap, Rhodri ap, Cynan ap, Madoc Ap, Riryd Ap, Angarad verch and Gwenllian Verch. He died at the age of 68 in 1204 in Aberconwy, Caernarvonshire, Wales.General Notes
