Laurence "Leroy" was born on January 19th, 1929 in Breckenridge, Wilkin, Minnesota. Laurence "Leroy"'s father was Christopher "Crist" Olthoff and his mother was Mareka (Mary) Beving. His maternal grandparents were Dick (Dirk) Beving and Mareka Willemssen. He had two brothers and a sister, named Simon "Bud", Richard and Genevieve. He was the youngest of the four children.-
