John Wells Goodale 
John Wells was born on June 28th, 1822 in Jackson, New York. John Wells' father was David Goodale and his mother was Elizabeth Brackett Welch. His paternal grandparents were Josiah Goodale and Persis Babcock; his maternal grandparents were John Welch and Hannah Davis. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Josiah, Isaac Lockwood, Lockwood Welch, George Washington, Mariah Ellen and Elizabeth Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 83 on December 22nd, 1905 in Aurora, Kane, Illinois.General Notes
