William Egerton

William was born about 1464. William's father was Philip Egerton and his mother was Margaret Mainwaring. His paternal grandparents were Sir John Egerton and Margaret Fitton; his maternal grandparents were William Mainwaring and Margaret Warren. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Sir Ralph, Helena, Anne, Catherine and Ellen. He was the second youngest of the seven children.
