Daniel Cook Caldwell 
Daniel Cook was born on October 28th, 1841 in Butler County, Kentucky. Daniel Cook's father was James Caldwell and his mother was Martha Cunningham Reid. His paternal grandparents were George Washington Caldwell and Rhoda Bishop; his maternal grandparents were Cunningham Reid and Peggy Ewing. He had three brothers and a sister, named George W., William C., Samuel J. and Mary Mansfield. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 75 on May 23rd, 1917 in Rhome, Wise Co., Texas.-
