Lillian Clara was born on February 15th, 1901 in Forreston, Ogle, Illinois. Lillian Clara's father was Benjamin Buss and her mother was Frauke (Kate) Eikamp. Her paternal grandparents were Hinderk (Henry) Jacob Buss and Maggie Alberts; her maternal grandparents were Aalderk Jochums Eikamp and Klaaske (Clara) Smidt. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Harry Samuel, Benjamin Alvin, Esther Martha and Irene Annette. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 87 on January 16th, 1989 in Freeport, Stephenson, Illinois.-
