Esther Martha was born about 1903 in Forreston, Ogle, Illinois. Esther Martha's father was Benjamin Buss and her mother was Frauke (Kate) Eikamp. Her paternal grandparents were Hinderk (Henry) Jacob Buss and Maggie Alberts; her maternal grandparents were Aalderk Jochums Eikamp and Klaaske (Clara) Smidt. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Harry Samuel, Benjamin Alvin, Lillian Clara and Irene Annette. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died on June 1st, 1938 in Freeport, Stephenson, Illinois.-
