Jacob Henry Berends 
Jacob Henry was born on September 9th, 1880 in Holland, Iowa. Jacob Henry's father was Fred Berends and his mother was Jessie Kruger. His maternal grandparents were Christian (Chris) Eilers Kruger and Neone Klaasson Soorholz. He had a brother and six sisters, named Chris Cleveland, Mary Ann, Nona Caroline, Lottie Maud, Tillie Lenore, Dena Laverna and Allie Grace. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 87 on August 3rd, 1968 in Hartley, Iowa.-
