Matthew Beckwith 
Matthew was born about 1637 in Hartford, Connecticut. Matthew's father was Matthew Beckwith and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Lynde. His paternal grandparents were Marmaduke Beckwith and Ann Dynley. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Nathaniel, Mary, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died on June 4th, 1727 in New London, Connecticut.-
