Robert was born about 1490 in Broxholme, Yorkshire, England. Robert's father was John Beckwith and his mother was Lady Radcliffe. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Beckwith and Lady Heslerton. He had a brother named Thomas. He was the younger of the two children. He died about 1573.-
