Agnes was born in 1065 in Valois,Bretagne,France. Agnes' father was *Hugh , the Great,Count of Vermandios de Crepi and her mother was *Adelaide , Countess of Vermandios de Crepi. Her paternal grandparents were *Henry I, King of France Capet and *Mathilde De Friesland; her maternal grandparents were *Herbert IV(V) , Count ofVermandois de Vermandois and *Adele , of Valois de Crepi. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Raoul I , Count of Vermandois, Henry , Lord Of Chaumont, Simon, William, Constance, Maude Matilda, Beatrix, *Elizabeth\Isabel, Elizabeth, Mahaut and daughter. She was the oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 60 in 1125.-
