Alonzo Worth Weathers 
Alonzo Worth was born on August 27th, 1847 in Crawford County,Indiana. Alonzo Worth's father was Vincent Weathers and his mother was Elitha Eleander May. His paternal grandparents were Richard Weathers and Chloe Jones; his maternal grandparents were William May and Margaret Warner. He had a brother and three sisters, named Leroy, Celeste Ann, Mary E. and Josephine. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 83 on February 5th, 1931 in Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana. He was buried in Marengo Cemetery,Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana.General Notes
Alonzo served in the Union Army during the Civil War in the 24th Ind. Infantry. He was a member of the FAR and in his later years he made a trip to Denver, Co, for te 1929 National Encampment. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Goodman Riodge in 1885 and in later years studied his bible constantly. His funeral services were conducted in the Marengo Christian Church by Rev. Otho Jackson with a military buriel at the Marengo Cemetery by the Crawford Co. Post American Legion.
