William Marion was born on September 29th, 1851 in Near Burnt Prairie,Wayne Co,Illinois. William Marion's father was Edward Walter and his mother was Drusilla Duvall. His paternal grandparents were Silvern Walter and Ruth ?; his maternal grandparents were Orman Duvall and Hannah Wheeler. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named James Monroe, Lewis L, Orman H, John Henry, Samuel G, Edward, Thomas Jefferson, Charles, George Washington, Ruth Hannah, Sarah Jane, Sophrona and Melissa. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Levi, Silas Bass and Bertha Amia. He died at the age of 81 in 1932 in Edwards Co,Illinois.-
