Martha Ellen was born on February 11th, 1879 in Barry Co.,MO.1 Martha Ellen's father was John King Terry and her mother was Mary Ann Riddle. Her paternal grandparents were Martin Terry Rev. and Mary Ann Reed. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named William G., Joseph Kelso, Josiah Kelly, Morgan G., Eli Cannon, Robert Simon, Alfred Monroe, Grandville Hansford, Wesley Sartin, Samantha Maybell, Caldonia Catherine and Minerva Ardella. She was the third youngest of the thirteen children.-
