Her paternal grandparents were Martin Terry Rev. and Mary Ann Reed. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Gilbert Luther, Benjamin Franklin, William Monroe, Homer Burton, Lydia Alice, Edna Florence and Flora Ethel. She was the youngest of the eight children. She had a half-brother named Chester.-
