John Newton Terry 
John Newton was born in Anderson Township,Perry County,Indiana. John Newton's father was Miles Terry and his mother was Nancy M. Baswell. His paternal grandparents were John Terry and Esther Brown. He had three sisters named Lucinda, Louisa and Sarah Jane. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Henry S., Aaron, Clara, Esther, Margarah and Mary Ann. He died on December 15th, 1864 in Nashville Tennessee. He was buried in Wheatley Cemetery,Perry County,Indiana.-
