J. Elias Terry

J. Elias was born on September 15th, 1807 in Botetourt Co.,VA.¹   J. Elias' father was John Terry and his mother was Esther Brown.  His paternal grandparents were William Terry and Rachel Manson. He had eleven brothers and a sister, named Josiah, William, George F., Haden, John, Elijah, Elisha, Miles, Thomas, Daniel, Jasper and Esther (Easter). He had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, William, Elisha, Elias, Thomas, Sally, Esther, Rachel and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 86 in 1893 in Perry Co.,IN.¹ 

‌J. Elias and Eleanor were married in a religious ceremony on September 28th, 1826.¹   They had a son named Emery.
