George was born in 1439 in Staffordshire,England. George's father was Humphrey Stafford, Duke of Buckingham and his mother was Anne Neville, Duchess of Buckingham. His paternal grandparents were Edmund Stafford, Earl of Stafford and Anne Plantagent Countess of Stafford Countess o; his maternal grandparents were Ralph Neville Earl of Westmoreland Earl of We and Joan Beaufort, Countess of Westmoreland. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Humphrey, Richard, John, Edward, William, Margaret, Joan, Catherine, Anne and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.General Notes
