John Shepherd 
John was born on August 26th, 1779 in Wilkes County,North Carolina. John's father was Robert Shepherd and his mother was Sarah Rash. His paternal grandparents were George Shepherd and Elizabeth Mary Angelique Day; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Rash and Mary Warren. He had a brother and eight sisters, named James, Elizabeth, Nancy Ann, Mary (Polly), Rhoda, Sarah, Frances (Fanny), Rebecca and Agnes Jane. He died at the age of 24 in 1803 in Rubin,Wilkes County,North Carolina.-
