Alexander was born on April 13th, 1813 in Salisbury,Rowan,Nc. Alexander's father was Alexander STEPHENS and his mother was Mary (Polly) DAILY OR DAILEY. His paternal grandparents were Richard STEPHENS and Martha ROBERTS; his maternal grandparents were William DAILY OR DAILEY and Mary PALMER. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, John, David, Daniel, Simeon, Hannah, Martha, Elizabeth, Mary and Rowana. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 81 on September 15th, 1894 in Wilson Lane,Ogden,Weber,Utah. He was buried on September 18th, 1894 in Ogden Cem,Ogden,Weber,Ut.General Notes
