John Rodgers 
John was born in 1837 in Franklin,Shelby County,KY. John's father was Nicholas Rodgers and his mother was Nancy Rodgers. His paternal grandparents were George W. Rodgers and Elizabeth Pierson. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jeptha, Jeffrey, William M., Henry, Daniel B., Elizabeth Jane, Mahala Ann, Sarah Francis and Nancy. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
