Jeffrey was born in 1828 in Franklin County,KY. Jeffrey's father was Nicholas Rodgers and his mother was Nancy Rodgers. His paternal grandparents were George W. Rodgers and Elizabeth Pierson. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jeptha, William M., John, Henry, Daniel B., Elizabeth Jane, Mahala Ann, Sarah Francis and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died before 1873 in Franklin County,KY.-
