Zora Caroline was born on June 7th, 1879 in Riley,Vigo County,Indiana. Zora Caroline's father was Wesley Jackson Rector and her mother was Nancy Caroline Jeffers. Her paternal grandparents were George Rector and Elizabeth Jane VanCleave; her maternal grandparents were Elmoth Jeffers and Sarah O'Brian. She had a brother and four sisters, named Beldon, Zillah Gertrude, Essie Irene, Artie Ethel and Inez M.. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 29 on October 27th, 1908 in Terre Haute,Vigo County,Indiana. She was buried in Highland Lawn,Cem.Terre Haute,IN.General Notes
