Matthew's baptism took place on August 8th, 1754 in Kenwyn,Cornwall,England.  Matthew's father was William PENROSE and his mother was Mary HELENS. He had a brother and five sisters, named William, Agnes, Agnes, Elizabeth, Joanna and Mary.
