Thomas was born on May 20th, 1702 in Tredegar,Bedwellte,Monmouthshire,England. Thomas' father was John Morgan and his mother was Martha Vaughan. His paternal grandparents were William Morgan and Blanche Morgan. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Charles, John I, Lewis, Edward, John II, William, Martha and Catherine.
