Rebeccah was born on May 6th, 1804 in Reddies River,Wilkes County,NC. Rebeccah's father was William McQueary and her mother was Nancy Ann Shepherd. Her paternal grandparents were John Macquarrie and Miranda Stout; her maternal grandparents were Robert Shepherd and Sarah Rash. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Allen, Pleasant, Jesse, William, Humphry, Polly, Sarah and Nancy. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children.-
