Allen McQueary 
Allen was born on May 10th, 1796 in Reddies River,Wilkes County,NC. Allen's father was William McQueary and his mother was Nancy Ann Shepherd. His paternal grandparents were John Macquarrie and Miranda Stout; his maternal grandparents were Robert Shepherd and Sarah Rash. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Pleasant, Jesse, William, Humphry, Polly, Sarah, Rebeccah and Nancy. He was the third oldest of the ten children.-
