Thomas was born in 1649 in of Briton Ferry,Neath,Glamorganshire,Wales. Thomas' father was Bussy Mansel and his mother was Catherine Perry. His paternal grandparents were Arthur Mansel and Jane Price. He had a sister named Jane. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Edward, John, Thomas, Catherine and Jane. He died at the age of 35 on December 13th, 1684 in (vp).
