Mansel Dawkin was born in 1763 in of Cil-frwch,Pennard,Glamorganshire,Wales and his baptism took place in (60-1823). Mansel Dawkin's father was Mansel |Dawkin| Mansel and his mother was Mary Morris. His paternal grandparents were William Dawkin Esquire and Mary Mansel. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Montacute Browne, Rawleigh, Rowland, William, Mary and Anne.
