James Kercheval 
James was born about 1750 in Berkerly County,West Virginia. James' father was Benjamin Kercheval and his mother was Elizabeth Fulton. His paternal grandfather was James Kercheval. He was an only child. He died in 1824 in near Cincinatti,Ohio.General Notes
In 1778 James named administrator to father-in-law estate. About 1795 they
moved into Nelson County, KY where Mary's older brother Samuel Pottenger had
pioneered. About 1802 they moved to Preble County, Ohio. James is said to
have built a mill there in 1807. He is said to have built a mill there in
1807.
They had five sons and three daughters, named Benjamin, Rueban, Samuel P., John, Lewis, Sarah, Elizabeth and Nancy.

Benjamin was born on March 17th, 1777 in Berkerly County,West Virginia. He died at the age of 82 on August 8th, 1859 in Prairie Creek,Indiana.
