Hisham I Caliph of Damascus' father was `Abd Caliph of Damascus al-Malik.  His paternal grandparents were Marwan I ben al-Hakam Caliph of Damascus and A`isha bint Mu`awiya ben al-Mughira.  He was an only child.  He died in 0743.
