John Herbert 
John was born on April 24th, 1777 in Penalt,Monmouthshire,Wales. John's father was Isaac Herbert and his mother was Anne Davies. His maternal grandparents were John Davies and Elizabeth Rowlands. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Isaac, Thomas, Philip, Ann and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the seven children.General Notes

John and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony on January 16th, 1813 in Hewelsfield,Glos.. They had four sons and five daughters, named Philip, James, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Louisa, Emma, Anne and Frances.
