Nicholas Gentry 
Nicholas was born about 1751. Nicholas' father was David Gentry and his mother was Sarah Brooks. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Gentry and Ann Allen. He had eight brothers named William, Hezekiah, Elisha, Elijah, David, John, Simon and Allen Cain. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died in 1782.General Notes
Died with his son John just outside Fort Nashboro, TN (it was part of NC then).
They had a son named John.
