Her paternal grandparents were Gregor Frey and Veronica------------- UNKNOWN; her maternal grandfather was Mathias Schaub. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Johann Peter, Johann Heinrich, Andreas, Anna Maria and Anna Catharina. She was the third oldest of the six children.
