John Chapman

John was born about 1752 in Colchester,New London,Connecticut. John's father was Solomon Chapman and his mother was Susanna Chapman Mrs.. His paternal grandparents were William Chapman and Lydia Lincoln. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Jonah, William, Solomon, Samuel, David, Jonathan, Lydia, Susannah, Betsy, Phebe and Sarah. He was the second youngest of the twelve children.
