Peter was born in 1536 in Of,Ladock,Cornwall,England and his baptism took place there.  Peter's father was Edward COURTNEY and his mother was Margaret (Jane) TRETHFORD.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas TRETHURFFE and Mary TREVISA. He had two brothers and a sister, named William, Edward and Katherine.  He was the second youngest of the four children. He had nine half-brothers and a half-sister, named Christopher, Gilbert, Josias, Nicholas, Robert, John, Christopher, Josias, Josias and Margaret.  He died at the age of 70 on May 28th, 1606 in Will 16 Dec 1695,Proved 28May1606,Cornwall,England.  He was buried on May 28th, 1606 in Will Proved,,Cornwall,England.
