Martijntje's baptism took place on July 2nd, 1730 in Sluipwijk,Zuid Holland,Netherland.  Martijntje's father was Gijsbert Sijmense COSTER and her mother was Grietje VERMEUL.  Her paternal grandparents were Sijmen Jans COSTER and Aaltje Jans Den Braker; her maternal grandparents were Leendert VERMEUL and Neeltje DE JONG. She had two brothers and eight sisters, and also three siblings of unknown gender, named Leendert, Simon, Trijntje, Aaltje, Annigje, Catharina, Grietje, Lena, Maria, Pleuna, deceased child, deceased child and deceased child. She had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Jan Gijsbertse, Symon, Leendart, Jaapie, Pieter Gijsbertse, Aletje, Pietertje and Apolonia.  She died on August 17th, 1807 in Sluipwijk,Zuid Holland,Netherland.  She was buried in August 1807 in Sluipwijk,Zuid Holland,Netherland.
