John CLARK

John was born on March 8th, 1777 in Tranent,East Lothian,Scotland.  John's father was John Hesher Clark and his mother was Helen KEPPIE.  His paternal grandparents were James CLARK or CLERK and Alison CLAPPERTON. He had six brothers and six sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Peter, James, James, John, William, Thomas, Elizabeth, Helen, Alison, Jean, Janet, Agnes and Katharine.  He was the fourth youngest of the fourteen children.
