Rowland Bateman 
Rowland was born in 1817 in of Bertholau,Llantrisaint,Monmouthshire,England and his baptism took place in (22-1839). Rowland's father was Colthurst Bateman and his mother was Jane Sarah |Gardner- Kemeys. His maternal grandparents were John |Gardner- Kemeys Esquire and Sarah Broadbelt. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Frederick, George Colthurst, John, Reginald, Robert, Sarah and Jane. He died at the age of 22 on April 3rd, 1839 in (MI),(at sea),,Persian Gulf.
