Andrew was born about 1569 in Of,Eaglesham,Renfrewshire,Scotland. Andrew's father was Thomas BOYD BARON BOYD and his mother was Margaret Campbell CAMPBELL BARONESS BOYD. His paternal grandparents were Robert BOYD BARON BOYD and Margaret (Mariot) COLQUHOUN. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Adam, Thomas, John, James, Isabel, Marion and Agnes.
