Alfonso III 'the Great' King of the Asturias was born in 0848.1   Alfonso III 'the Great' King of the Asturias' father was Ordogno I King of the Asturias and Galicia and his mother was Nuna (Munia).  His paternal grandparents were Ramiro I King of the Asturias and Paterna Queen of Asturias de Castile. He had a brother and a sister, named Nunio and Leogundis Infanta of Asturia.1

‌Alfonso III 'the Great' King of the Asturias and Jimena were married in a religious ceremony about 0869.  They had a son named Ordogno II King of Asturia, Galicia and Leon.
