Isabel was born in 1238. Isabel's father was Richard I deClare Earl of Gloucester and her mother was Maud deLacy Countess De Lincoln. Her paternal grandparents were Earl Gilbert de Clare and Isabel Marshall; her maternal grandparents were John deLacy Earl of Lincoln and Margaret deQuincy. She had a brother named Thomas deClare Lord of. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 33 in 1271.-
