James Bligh was born on July 19th, 1809 in Windsor NSW. James Bligh's father was Richard Ridge and his mother was Margaret Forrester. His maternal grandparents were * Robert Forrester and * Isabella Ramsay. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, Richard Charles, John, Robert, William Bligh, Isabella Jane, Martha, Elizabeth Lucy, Mary Ann, Margaret, Ann and Lucinda. He was the oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 77 on September 22nd, 1886 in Ashfield, Sydney NSW.-
